You Are My Sunshine

First of all, today is Sunday. Not sure where my head was yesterday. Up at 2,4 and 6 am. Fell back asleep until 8:30. Hubby decided to start a fire at 7:00 to take the chill from the air. I called my mother to wish her a happy Mother’s Day. Jamie’s family invited her to lunch but she wasn’t up for going out. Abi will take her a plate. After breakfast, hubby wanted to walk through the new section of the campground to see if there were any shady sites yet. We found one. My children and most of the grands contacted me during our walk. Parker said he saw the Bible verse below and it “reminded me of you.” What a sweet young man. Hubby suggested we take a hike on the trail in the new area of the park. I was already tired but agreed to go if he grabbed my poles. Between the trail and wander through the campground, I walked just under three miles. We were on the opposite side of The Swift Creek Lake. These were some of the highlights. The yellow wildflower was so “sunny,” it had to be in the spotlight. We took showers and headed to a late lunch. Our fav Mexican restaurant was closed but I think we may have stumbled on an even better one. Each mother was given a long stemmed red rose. What a special touch. The menu seems to be authentic Mexican. We are going shopping next since we forgot to go last night after dinner. Then I believe we will rest for the remainder of the day. We certainly will not need additional food. Hoping you had a lovely weekend/Mother’s Day where applicable. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” - Proverbs 31:26
