cemetary road

This cemetary is at the end of my street. Parts of it are maintained as a wild-life sanctuary.I occaisonaly meet a fox/ hear woodpeckers/marvel at the profusion of Primroses this spring. The Poet Phillip Larkin, used the image of a Toad," this Toad work that squats on my life". Near the end of his life, as if he came to friendly terms with Toad, he wrote :" take my hand dear Toad and walk with me down cemetary road". His voice of ten rings in my head as I walk his path.
