Therapy Dog

I looked into pretty much every (pretends to be) formal scheme there is to see about registering Missy as a therapy dog. Non were independently verified, most were a sham and they were all excruciatingly expensive.
And I thought about it a goodly while, thought about what she brings to our Wellness Walks, decided to trust myself and then I bought her a therapy dog coat.

I think a strong positive of my ADHD is that I can focus on several things, be very ambiently aware. Today deep in conversation with J&M I could hear D talking to Missy, searching for a stick to throw for her, relaxing into her glee, sharing his worries with her. He's going through a tough time, repairs to his sheltered housing mean he'll have to move out of the only safe space he's known, currently the council are offering him somewhere 30miles away, terrifying for him.
Later as we walked back I told D that Missy had told me about his move and said that she'd like to come visit him if it happens, have him throw a stick for her on a new beach. "I'd like that very much" said D with the first smile I've seen on his face for a while, "tell her thank you and give her some extra biscuits tonight".

Help can come in many forms; sometimes with four legs and a wagging tail.
