In the right place

Each year in the garden I wage war on bluebells as they can take over the borders. The bulbs are usually too deep to dig out without upsetting nearby plants. So I try to remove the flower stalks to go into vases and cut back the leaves. I do keep some in a corner by the front fence under the trees.

Each year they come back so the battle continues. Two streets down there is a garden area and there they thrive. I’m happy to see them there!

I was at a funeral today for a member of the congregation - aged 94. A good life. She was the first female sergeant in the special constables in Scotland. While there I met up with a family friend and someone I’d not seen for over 5 years.

Otherwise, a day mainly of haar so paperwork and an evening church meeting.
