Meet under the clock

We were at Waterloo by 6:30 p.m. despite several offers for beers. PY was already there. We had an hour to fill before the train. We did some shopping for tomorrow’s lunch and then bought a sushi platter to eat on the train. We had a coffee overlooking the grand station clock and then, when our platform was announced really early, made our way to one of the front carriages for the journey to Portsmouth Harbour. The sushi was remarkably filling, and the little bottles of wine were lovely.
