Rain stops play

MONDAY

I had an hour or two out in the garden and this afternoon headed down to the bowls club for a practice ahead of tomorrow's league match.

The bowling green had been cut and then treated with fertiliser and, as a result, the bowls were picking up lots of the stuff and needed wiping down at every end. It wasn't a pleasant experience and not ideal for practice as conditions at the away game tomorrow will bear no resemblance to today. The rain arrived in earnest at 2:30 pm and I decided to call it a day!
