This is our local postbox, opposite the bus shelter. The cow parsley is at its frothy best just now - I always associate it with exams as I used to invigilate at Dumfries Academy and cycled into work along roads lined with these lovely flowers - exams in Scotland start at the beginning of May, so they are in full swing right now.

The weather stayed warm, sunny and dry for most of the day. Jess and I went up into the forest this morning and in the afternoon, I did some gardening. I started to cut back a very old shrub but D and I ended up doing some major clearance...Then I spent some time trying to photograph bees but they were very difficult to get completely in focus.

Time to cook the tea now and then I think a rest will be needed!
