Mare and foal 2024

Today's the day ....................... for offspring

Round about this time last year, I caught my first glimpse of a new foal with his mother on the farm down the road.  

It was obviously a big success because I walked past there today - and saw this little foal with his/her mother.  This time the mare is black but I imagine there's a bit of chestnut in the mix somehow, judging on the colour of this one.

At just a few weeks old, they're still finding their feet (literally!) and working out what life is all about.  But already this one had the grace and poise of the pedigree horse that they no doubt are ........................
