Although Simmel appears to be a prolific author and this book (pictured) appears to have good reviews, it led me onto John Donne’s poem of the same title…. and then to this.
Thankfully it never ceases to amaze and educate me how historical prose can still hold its contemporary value.

Oh, yes, we were in Lana this day. Found a nice bit of la vecchia Italia amongst the new architecture.
