No Mow May

Half way through No Mow  May, and this is how our "lawn " is looking today. I must attempt to identify as many plant species as I can; there are  a lot!
A nice day with sunshine,  ukulele class, and Pilates.
I finished reading an interesting book by Pip Williams  called "The Dictionary  of Lost Words ". It is a novel but based around the  true story of how the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) was created by Dr James Murray and his team of lexicographers, and eventually published in 1928. Williams' story raises the  issue of who decides which words and definitions are included in a dictionary. If the lexicographers are all or mostly men, as in the case of the original  OED, it is likely that some words used exclusively  by, or about, women may be overlooked and not get included. Apparently, this happened to the word "bondmaid".
