Biking long

The first bike ride of the season out into nature for fika was made today. The bike ride was longer than expected. When we arrived at our destination, it turned out that the water was so high that it was impossible to get to a jetty to have fika. We talked a little with the three fishermen who were there and then we cycled on.

Our plan B was a rock by the same river, but further away. The area is owned by a large company and the road is private. You are not allowed to drive a car there. Our wonderful right of public access that we have in Sweden means that we could cycle/walk there. A couple in a car argued with the supervisors and questioned their right to prevent them. As I said, for us there was no problem with passing the barrier.


Once there, we had a wonderful time with fika and lovely birdsong to listen to. 


On the way home we got an idea to just take a small detour to a park to see if the bloom had started. Well there we got another idea to bike over to a cafe for an ice cream. So we did. 
So it was a real detour and I got a pain in the butt from sitting on the bike saddle for so long. But we had a whole wonderful day in the sun and warm weather.
