Tarragon Ice Cubes

I spent some time in the kitchen this afternoon. I baked a large batch of granola (makes a change from porridge) which contains all sorts of goodies, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla extract and of course lots of oats.

While that was in the oven, I made some tarragon ice cubes. So as not to waste any fresh herbs I like to chop them and freeze with a little water and then I can just thaw and use in recipes whenever it’s needed. Tomorrow I’ll do some fresh thyme ones too.

I felt very satisfied with my efforts, just the thing on a rainy overcast day.
