Edro III

A beautiful sunny day, really hot in the hotel suntrap, cooler in the breeze.  Beautiful warm evening.

Up early, headed down for breakfast, then a morning by the pool.  The cool pool water was welcome with the heat.  Headed out for a walk in the afternoon.  Headed out for a steak this evening. My dinner was delicious, sadly Brian has a fatty fillet.  Back to the hotel, a few drams then an early night, big adventure tomorrow.

Caught the bus to Coral Bay, then a long walk to see this old wreck.  The Edro III, she wrecked in Sept 2011. She set sail from Limassol, heading to Rhodes, with cargo of plasterboard.  All nine crew were rescued by British military helicopter.  The boat was emptied of fuel, welded closed, it was too far on the rocks for a salvage operation.  Seems to be a target for youngsters, graffiti, broken windows etc, but still makes a good photo, if only I could get a better angle.  Crystal clear waters here, might come back for a swim at the nearby beach.  Taken a few miles north of Coral Bay, Peyia, Cyprus.
