We're recovering
from a wild storm yesterday...
Clean up is needed

I was slow off the mark this morning. I left the house at 8 AM for just a short hop down to the Schubert Drive lookout.

I was fortunate to get the best part of the day yesterday. By noon we were in for a big wind storm followed by rain. Today I see some of the damage done with tree litter everywhere and broken trees, some wrenched out of the ground. I took note of the cottonwood tree broken by the lookout.

We're at the start of our Victoria Day long weekend. The city is a lot quieter this morning with schools closed for a district in service day. This would be the start to camping season but with the change in weather and the chill temperatures, there may not be a rush to the lake today. The forecast warns of snow on the upper level highways.

I got my look at the North Thompson River looking upstream to the Halston Bridge, across the river to my mountains and down stream to the city.

I got a shot of the heart spray painted at the lookout. It was the best of the graffiti there on display.

I'm in for the day with the ever-present paperwork calling to me.
