Feed me!

I spent most of this afternoon watching a family of starlings gathering food from my fat ball feeder to feed their hungry and demanding young. The adults must have been exhausted, trying to fill the constant open beaks of the babies. I had to top up the feeder several times but am happy to do so as I know that in a few days time they will allead off somewhere else. They arrive here to lay their eggs, but once the fledglings are confident and able to feed themselves they will leave for pastures new. I wish them all the very best and hope that I have helped them raise their next generation.
