Coast path evening stroll

We took a stroll to the Dog & Partridge this afternoon, the scenic route via the coast path.. It was a case of bees,  butterflies, birds and beer.
It was great to sit out in the sun for an hour trying to make sense of the locals
(I still have little clue what West Cumbrians are saying).
The variety of birds along this coast is fantastic, there is even a resident flock of grey partridge - I managed to bag a couple in the open. I was particularly pleased to spot the yellowhammer, we identified it by it's song and I went investigating in the shrubbery..
Not a bad haul for a stroll to the pub. - Swallow, Blackbird, Yellowhammer, Stonechat, Reed Warbler, Grey Partridge.
