Bleary-eyed...

..I shall be, trying to get all these books read before they are due back at the library! Still, I cannot resist buying more ..The Berry Pickers waiting list was far too long so I had to turn to Amazon once again....the books are piling up at an alarming rate...

Friday it is...the beginning of our May long weekend..Victoria Day is Monday and all and sundry folks are heading north to cottage country to open their cottages for the season. I, for one, am staying home while the younger generation open ours. Reports so far are that the black flies are BRUTAL...so methinks it was a good decision to stay home! 

One welcome surprise at the cottage was that the roof on the bunkie has been replaced! Last year, we hired a roofer to do that but due to illness, he could not and delayed it until this summer...Well, it seems he got down the bay and did the whole job before any of us did and before we even had our docks in! I am not sure how he managed to dock his boat, but he did..The only draw back? An invoice we didn't expect until later in the summer! 

I anxiously await photos from the cottage..am curious about the water level this year..rumour has it that it is really low....
