A day in the life

I don't know what they've been planting here but they worked for two days covering the field after a thorough preparation of the area. In early spring they (the Robertsons, the main landowner around here) were here felling trees that was growing in the draining canal, cluttering the flow. The white ground-cover came in huge rolls that needed tractors to roll out over the field, then several men put sandbags out to keep it all down. It'll be interesting to know what comes up.

This pentecost weekend has been very generous, spreading sunlight and warmth all day long. A chilly wind has made the mornings and nights cold but during the morning, it's lovely.
