Cambridge Open Studios

Daniela Stief is a ceramicist based in Impington, Cambs, and is an architect by trade. The Open Studios where artists display their work are held every year over three weekends and this afternoon I went to meet Daniela and look at her ceramics. She said that pottery evening classes, which she really enjoyed, started her off. Her work is stylised and some quite quirky. On show today included stoneware chimes, hanging bird sculptures, vases, pictures, bowls, plates and tiles. She also makes garden ornaments. I particularly liked some hand painted tile coasters and decorated hair clips which I purchased. Shown here is a small selection.
