An Irish Guy Abroad

The Green Room

Today the wild swimmers had our last practice session in the civic centre in Ossie. All of the rooms downstairs were in use so we got to use the theatres green rooms to practice the promenade performance in.

I was fascinated by these sinks and their surrounds they have been used so much that the enamel has worn through to the metal beneath. I wonder when they were installed and how many actors have applied their make-up in front of them.

Then there is the bilious green Formica fascia. Surely this is the last colour you want to contemplate while waiting nervously off stage.
