history

After a lovely lunch in South Queensferry looking out over the Forth bridges, we decanted to Edinburgh on the train, in search of kilt material & fudge.

Having sourced the first item at the first attempt (thanks to my local knowledge & sound memory) the fudge was just a few hundred metres down the Royal Mile.

Again, success right away. While OH was in the shop doing the business (so to speak) I looked for a Blip. Opposite was Old Moray House in the Canongate which dates back to 1620. Oliver Cromwell stayed there whilst on his crusades to Scottieland.
