Looking Up on Sauchiehall Street

Glasgow. My advice to those souls (who, frankly, I regard as being devoid of imagination) who don't think that central Glasgow is a thing of beauty is to look up. I usually mean to look for the ornamentation on the wonderful and abundant Georgian and Victorian buildings. Here, however, I found similar interest on a lovely, crisp autumn day at the junction of Sauchiehall Street and Buchanan Street with more modern, almost brutalist architecture. I was interested in the interplay of tones and planes.

I was in Glasgow to leave some pictures for display in an art shop in the Buchanan Galleries, since you ask.
