Father Time?

Detail from a clock that my husband inherited from his father. A creative writer could write a novel (or at the least a short story) on the history of the clock. Not the original history, just the history on how it happened to be in their family. His Dad received it as payment for a TV that he repaired, and it passed through many hands for various reasons after that.
It now lives in Alaska, and I guess some day one of our children will own it. Perhaps we should write the story for them.
