A meal at Union Square

Today I was meeting a friend at Union Square to go for a meal at Wagamama. She got stuck in traffic so I had time to watch and listen to a choir at the shopping centre. It was not Christmas Carols but a more generic mix of popular songs.

There were quite a few of us stopping to listen to them. They started at about 6pm but I have no idea when they finished as by then we were in Wagamama, which itself was busy and quite noisy.

The choir made a pleasant way of passing the time waiting for my friend to arrive. They seemed to be very good and came complete with a conductor, one of the very few men in the choir, as well as a sound system. It also looked as though they were being filmed.

In any event it was a first in my experience of Union Square shopping centre. The city was showing all the signs of a late night shopping evening in the run up to Christmas, a bit too busy.
