Peeling

Today would have been a lot better for olive picking than yesterday. A cloudless blue sky, not a breath of wind. Not so great for taking photos though -- I was once more forced to look for details. I've had this old tank in my blipbank for a while, and I decided to cash it in today for want of other subjects; the harsh light brought out the textures well.

I packed some Christmas presents, and made my first mince pies of the season. I find traditional mince pies too heavy on the pastry, so I make them with either frangipane topping, or little pastry stars instead of a full-size lid. Today I did both, and they all got the seal of approval from S. So much so that there aren't many left ...

Today's blip is a bit uninspired, but last year's is one of my favourites.
