A short walk this afternoon, just before sunset. Yes, the sunsets in the afternoon just now. Not that there was much seen of the sun today. Cold and windy (continues).

Had to laugh at the lady giving the 'Thought for the day' on Radio 4 this morning. She was talking about it being the shortest day of the year, and how there were only nine hours of daylight. Nine hours! Maybe down in the South of England that's the case. Seven hours is closer to the reality up here. And it's less further North. If you were to calculate it as the time from sunrise to sunset, you'd be down to a mere six and a half. Little wonder things don't warm up much, or dry out, at this time of year.

[Half considering using this little camera and tiny lens combo only in black & white mode. One benefit of an electronic viewfinder (EVF) is that you can view the scene in B&W prior to taking the picture.]
