European Neighbours

Three days after the official town-twinning celebrations have finished between Eccles (gritty northern industrial town on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal) and Narbonne (beautiful French haven on the Mediterranean Sea) all that is left to remind us of the visit from our gaelic neighbours is the French tricolore flying over the town hall.

They must have been in such a rush to get back to all that sun, sea and sand that they forgot to take it with them - poor things...
