You might think that the whole of Alcester is an idyllic black and white chocolate box-ey sort of place. It isn't. Only bits of it are, and this is one of those bits. It's on a corner of Church Street and this particular building houses a hairdresser's.

We have our fair share of hideous sixties and seventies buildings, jumbled in with architecture from many other eras. Most of the housing is modern though.

There was an old Roman grain store discovered under the present main town car park and it has been marked out with a red line which must be very puzzling if you don't know what it signifies. Historians are sure there must be a Roman mosaic floor just waiting to be discovered . That'll put us on the map.

P. S. I nearly Blipped a picture of LooseCanon taking his picture for today of forsythia against a blue sky. He had to lie on his back under the shrub to take it. How he suffers for his art. Sadly my iPhone's puny memory was full. Blipportunity knocked and I missed it!
