Fairfield House........

....................And Wedding Day

The Wedding of my husband’s niece was held at Fairfield House today.
The bride looked beautiful in her white gown as did the two bridesmaids, who were wearing red.
It was cloudy and a little windy, then much later it became very windy with several showers of rain as we felt a touch of Cyclone Lusi.

Tomorrow, I will upload one or two photos to my blipfolio - I’ll then add a link.
Now I am off to bed and will catch up with comments and replies tomorrow. Thank you for the wonderful comments you left for the ‘Butterfly’ photo yesterday. They are much appreciated.

FAIRFIELD House, Nelson, NZ, as seen today, was constructed as a residence for the Arthur Samuel Atkinson in 1872
He was a prominent lawyer, active in business and politics. Arthur was also a keen amateur astronomer.
Jane Maria Atkinson (nee Richmond) was active in the suffragette movement and promoted education for girls.
