Close Encounters

Well, actually it wasn't very close, as you can tell. I have always been a city girl so this was my first encounter with an owl. Thank goodness I had my 18-300 mm lens when I set off for the park just before dark this evening. I certainly never dreamed I would ever be chasing around in the twilight trying to get a photo of an owl. Now that I know they are there, I will have to be a bit more strategic. This was the best of the lot and it certainly had me very excited. What's happening to me???
