I am rosco

Big city lights

Found myself finished for the day promptly, so headed out for a walk with the camera. There was, however, one thing I hadn't accounted for...

Good to have a change of scenery, and the camera appreciated it too. Got some pictures of interesting looking stuff. I have been careful with the placement of the adjective there on purpose. Either way, I had a great time meandering around, headphones in, looking about and snapping away. There is only so long you can really do that with company before the non-camera'd become (understandably) pissed off restless, so it's best to make the most of be on one's lonesome.

Now, it may all sound like a dream of a time, not a care in the world, etc etc and all that, but I did mention that there was something I hadn't accounted for. And I'm not even talking about my knack of forgetting to eat when I am on my own doing stuff - which I managed, of course. No, what scuppered me was my lack of coat/jacket packing the previous morning. I had come down to London without a coat because I'd be in a suit for first few days, then again for the wedding (tomorrow), and didn't have anything that fat* fitted over a suit jacket properly.

Anyway, hanging around the river you tend to get a fairly constant bashing from the wind. This was no different today, believe me. Just I didn't realise at first, only when messing around with a Gorillapod on Waterloo Bridge. Needless to say I finally clicked when I found my fingers unable to detach said 'pod (incl camera) from the railings of the said bridge. It took a lot of hand rubbing (and pacing on the spot - camera strap around neck to prevent any accidents you see - for the feet) to warm up enough to function. It was then I decided to retreat to the safety, warmth and comfort of the tube hotel, via the warmth of the tube.

After more heating of the fingers, I was fairly happy with the cause of the chill induced near-paralysis.

* I swear fat should be past tense of fit
