The Kiltwalk

The "Welcome Pack" Elves are on Overtime

I was going to say "when The KiltWalk is over there will be a long list of people to thank, particularly all the people who took part and helped us raise loads of money for our Charities", however given there are now KiltWalks from Hampden Park to Loch Lomond, Speyside, Angus, Kennet & Avon Canal and the recently announced KiltWalk across the Great Wall of China, then it's pretty much a year round job, so bang goes that introduction!!

As you would expect preparation for Hampden to Loch Lomond along with the 10K at Balloch Park are in full swing. The planning was done a while back and we're now in execution mode as there's things to organise, people to see, things to check and double check not to mention the KiltWalk Roadshows to do, and the small matter of trying to get some training in for those of us 'walking' on the day.

So it's all go and you have to wonder how these things were organised in the days before email and texts.

We now have in excess of 430 people signed up and it's only February so we've hit target number 1, which was to beat last years numbers, however we have much higher expectations, but we'll keep our final target under wraps for just now.

The downside is that we have a lorra lorra t-shirts to sort and pack, letters to insert and numbers and lists to score off, all of which means the first 300 Welcome Packs were sent out at the weekend and have indeed been arriving through letter boxes over the last few days.

But there's still more to do, so we thought we would give you a sneak peek of the next batch of packs that are all boxed and ready to roll out the door and who knows, it might be one of yours, so watch out for the Postie.
