Through the Cave

There were only 2 of us on our Wednesday morning paddle today. Although the day finished with a strong cold southerly, the morning was perfect, with mirror calm conditions. I've chosen this image, out of many beautiful photos of lovely scenery, because it's so different. We paddled through the little gap you can see behind the kayak - he's just arrived through there. The wonderfully coloured rocks show the volcanic origin of the area - Lyttelton Harbour is of course an ancient volcanic crater.
