A scary landing

I thought I was about to witness another kind of air accident this afternoon when a gust of wind caused this paraglider to hurtle to the ground only to be whisked seconds later back into the air narrowly missing this tower.

It’s the first time I have ever seen paragliders operate so close to the shoreline because it leaves little room for error- or sudden gusts of wind like today.

I caught all this on my camera for they were operating out of the hotel next door.

Only a few weeks ago a friend of mine in Scotland, an experienced diver, said many were bypassing the Red Sea because of safety concerns.

Re yesterday blip on noise pollution. A quick search on Google revealed this has been the subject for years of on-going complaints and as far back as 2012 the hotel had taken out a lawsuit against the offending neighbouring hotels. The music by the way was Techno House and at one stage they used 20 loudspeakers. Well things have certainly calmed down a lot since then.
.
Glad to know it’s not just me being stroppy.

In fact today has been quite peaceful.

Extra photo- zebra fish amongst coral. This should have gone up yesterday but there were lots of technical hitches.
