Happy Birthday To Us

First, we'd like to offer a big thank-you to all those who acted promptly following our last post and have already purchased their annual membership of Blipfoto, especially those of you who included an additional donation. As a point of information, everyone who pays this month will be credited with a full year’s membership from the expiry date of Nov 1st, so there's no reason to delay! 

We’ve been really encouraged by the initial response to the membership drive but we need your subscriptions to keep coming. Don’t forget that this is for the essential day to day running of Blipfoto. Our successful crowdfunding campaign to bring Blipfoto into community ownership is only the first step towards long-term sustainability. The wheels have to be kept oiled!

Second, there are probably not too many people who will recognise today as Blip's birthday. It was exactly 12 years ago today that the very first blip was posted. Here it is. I think you'll agree that we've come a very long way since then.

Finally, we want you to know that not all our time is being spent on the boring financial stuff. A little new feature is almost ready for release. It's nothing major, yet we believe it is quite important. Of course, we're not going to tell you what it is yet! Watch this space. And keep those memberships coming in.
