Findhorn-multifaceted community

Findhorn has a vibrant sailing community and this morning I strolled down to the bay, a mere 300 yards from our friends eco house, to watch preparations for the days regatta.

For Findhorn is not all about “finding yourself”.  (Some of us may not be that keen on finding ourselves, afraid of what we might find).

Later up at the Foundation I learnt that originally the land was a military dump for the neighbouring Kinloss air base and it was considered too polluted to be of any agricultural use. Then along came a trio of altruistic New Agers determined to get in touch with the Earth.
That idealistic vision paid off and now they have a thriving international clientele.
