Life of a dancer....

Another car picnic on the way home from dance class.

She had a good day at school. They did mini first aid and katie really enjoyed it. She was chosen to show things a couple of times and said she'd demonstrated back slaps. She said she'd got the answer right when asked if you should carry on eating your lunch or go help someone who's hurt! She liked the certificate they came home with of course.

They've got a couple of German teaching students at school for a while, from our twin town. The students taught them a German song today "but I forgot it... because I'm not German". Though she's remembered the words for mobile phone and telephone!

It's charity fundraising in a few weeks and the children had to submit suggestions for things to do to raise money. She and her friends said they wanted to do a puppet show. They had a meeting with the head today because he's said he's choosing that as one of the new ideas this year. They are already planning their script and the foundation stage have even offered their puppet theatre and puppets. Fundraising fortnight is massive, so it's only a small event in one of many (many many)... but they're very excited.

Before school katie spent about 1hr 15 on clarinet. She's working so hard at the moment on that. Her new teacher has cottoned on to her love for gobbling up repertoire and giving her some good stuff to work on this week. Unlike her piano teacher, who's not given her anything new at all this term!
