Nasty Hooky Thorns

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

We were a man down tonight as Eldest Mini Princess went to a friend’s house for a sleepover.

We decided to watch Gogglebox. During the review of a very English Scandal (the story of Jeremy Thorpe) which showed a scene with Jeremy (High Grant), erm, relieving’ his paramour under his coat.

Watching the penny drop with Youngest Mini Princess was akin to watching a cart crash. It all went slow motion and her face went from white to green to red before she pulled her hoodie up so she could hide! The absence of her wing man only added to the horror of sitting with her parents.

I distinctly remember that feeling. I am still scarred by the (very tame) sex scene in The Thorn Birds. It felt like time had come to a stop. Mary Doll expertly diffused the situation by getting very flustered and insisting that it was my bedtime. That really helped to normalise things and remove any weirdness!
