A day of contrasts

A day which started off well but has gone rather downhill.
We were in Stratford this morning so I could have an eye test.  Thankfully, all is well, and my prescription has not changed.  I did decide to get some new reading glasses as my current ones are from two prescriptions ago, but to get out of Specsavers less than £100 down feels like a success.  The sun shone and we had an outdoor coffee ... sadly with free cigarette smoke

We went on to a local bike shop as Gill is thinking about a new eBike with a lower top tube.  Found one she likes and not as costly as I thought so more research needed but that went well too.

After some minor DiY, which also went well,  we had a zoom call with friends who are not having such a good time,  and discussed a mutual friend whose divorce has not long gone through. She is at least out of a dire situation and now in a sort of limbo while she decides what to do next.  Gill will see her tomorrow so hopefully she is through the worst and can start to rebuild her life.

On a more positive note,  our son Stuart (32) has managed to book a vaccine appointment for next week.

Not much opportunity for blippery so a last minute shot of my intermediate glasses which I use for photo editing.
