Autumn

Even after 42 years of living in a country that calls Autumn ‘Fall’, I still call Fall ‘Autumn’. It’s already glorious and not even at peak.

I’m getting some help with putting the yard to sleep for winter properly; cutting back perennials, cutting down annual vines and raking up boatloads of leaves. It’ll be a first for me, getting gardening help that is. I usually just do the work of three hardworking men, or ten lazy men, or eight women who are scared of cracking a nail or breaking a sweat.

First session of cardiac rehab went well. They think I ought to do 24 sessions but I have news for them: two more and I’m done. Now that I know how hard to push to draw benefit but not trigger another ummm..  event…I would be just as motivated doing it at home.
