Johnstone Gardens

I thought there must be some colour in Johnstone Gardens by now. I went to have a look today, and it did not disappoint.

When I looked at the images in the camera I was a bit disappointed. The vivid colour I could see in front of me was not coming through in the photographs. I changed the White Balance to "Cloudy", which made an improvement. The day was indeed very cloudy, though we did not have the promised rain.

I also noticed that while the change of white balance improved the reds, the viola shrubbery became blue and did not look as I saw it.
Looking at the colour on the monitor later it seems too bright, and I have toned it down very slightly to "Daylight".
