Sunshine after the rain ...

It was good to wake to blue skies after all yesterday's rain - not least because I was going with our local walking group, my first time in a while.

There were only four of us and we headed up to Old Tilt to do a walk in Glen Banvie.  It included parts of the moor I hadn't been on before.

Our stopping point for lunch was a cairn on a small hillock above the Whim Planation and Blairuchdair Wood. It afforded great views of the surrounding hills.

It was about 7 miles in total and despite yesterday's rain the ground wasn't too bad.

We headed up to House of Bruar afterwards for a quick visit - unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I didn't have any cards or cash with me.

In today's other news I now have the new Doulingo Interface. I can't say I am overly impressed - it forces everyone one the same linear path forward and it is now difficult to go back and revise specific grammar points. I had also completed the tree but now have to do a number of stages to finish the tree or path) in the new version. I may stop after that.
