Myrtle Path

I was off to Skipton early this morning to collect my new glasses, that'll be a second mortgage then!  I walked down through the frosty estate and crossed the road to pick up the footpath to the park which was really pretty with the light glinting off the frosty path.

The train ride through the valley was also pretty with the flooded fields now crisp and white and frozen.  I called in to the computer repair shop but sadly Dominic has been unable to access the data from my external hard drive.  I might have to try the manufacturer next.  The trouble is I know there are lots of old photos on that drive but not exactly what.  It's like one of those cupboards in the house that you haven't opened in years and you get to thinking do I need anything that is in there?!

From there I walked to the Optician's to pick up the specs and on the way back to the station, picked up a coffee from Cooper's.  I then got to thinking that friend L lived on the way home and checked that she was in.  So it was off the train at Steeton and up to her village for a big catch up.  She is in recovery from cancer and so I haven't seen her for a while due to having Nursery bugs or travelling to see family.  It was good to find her well and in good spirits.

Mid afternoon I was back on the train home then a walk back up the hill.  It was then I realised I hadn't eaten so a quick message to Tony for peanut butter toast and a cuppa was in order.
