Allotments

A day spent mostly in the garden. Managed to remove all the Douglas spirea from one patch, though I'm sure some of the roots remain and it will be a running battle for a year or two to keep it under control. Four bags full of garden waste ready for the tip!

Also helped MrM to manoeuvre the long shelf unit into our bedroom, and later in the day cleaned and polished it. Looks good!

An early evening walk that took us past some allotments. We stopped for a while to admire them - a lovely mixture of vegetables and flowers, and some cheerful bunting too. Shortly after that we came across a very large white dog, wandering around on its own, which followed us most of the way home. While MrM went back up to where the dog first appeared and eventually met some people who offered to take her back to its owner, I went back home to water the container plants. Dark by the time I'd finished.
