Fairy Pools
It's been a lovely day, a bit too lovely for a landscape photographer. I don't want to grumble, I've been to Skye several times now and on previous occasions haven't seen hide nor hair of sunshine. It would be good to have a little thin cloud to provide some diffusion.
We set off after breakfast for the Quirang, parked up and walked the trail. It was a relatively easy walk compared to some that can be done. I've added an extra of the view looking south.
From there we headed south to Glenbrittle and the Fairy Pools. This consisted of a longer walk than I'd expected but it's all well gravelled and easy walking except for the gradient. It's a very popular destination and even this early in the season seemed quite busy with a continuous procession of people along the track. Fortunately it was later in the day and many people were on their way back but there are always those that want to sit on the waterfall and mess about. A bit of patience was rewarded.
I wasn't over impressed with the falls and didn't notice any magic colouring in the water but the magnificent backdrop of the Cuillin range is what makes them special for me.
