The Princess and the Dog

Dear O'H dear & Lovely Tea Jenny,

Murphy’s favourite toy, Pola had been left behind at Mary Doll & Victor’s when he came back yesterday. He LOVES Pola and was mournfully looking round the house dfor her this morning. It gave me horrible flashbacks of the time that The Youngest Mini Princess took Tigger (who she adored and was always tucked under her arm) to nursery and another child took him home. Two year old YMP was completely inconsolable and it was a long night. Until YMP left the nursery, she only ever referred to the other child as ‘the one that stole Tigger’ and it’s fair to say that forgiveness was never on the agenda for his abduction. Did I have concerns for the other child’s safety? No comment.

So YMP and I popped out to Penicuik to pick up Pola. Victor said “Hi” when I walked in and then spotted YMP behind me. “…and she’s brought a refugee!”

Murphy was delighted when we came back with Pola and has kept her by his side ever since. Terry was over and the 5 of us had a a lovely (and very funny) dinner. Murphy happily snoozed under the table with Pola as his cushion and everything in the world was exactly where it should be.
