I was there by 9.30 and worked for 2.5 hours before walking home for lunch.

I sprayed weedkiller carefully on the paths and on bits of the horseradish that had begun growing. The rest of the horseradish will be treated as soon as it dares to grow through the woodchippings... which probably won't be long! I sorted out the chunks of root I'd piled up, taking the soil off and putting it all in a carrier bag to take home for the brown bin. Then I started on weeding and digging over the end bed, and got about a third done.

Now to drive to Swansea to my daughter and family. It's Friday, the traffic might be bad... but you never know!

Edit: chatting to my daughter's fil it seems he'd like some horseradish (to put in a pot) and he knows another couple of people who'd like some too. Luckily there's still some on the pile.
