It's all go?!......................

Went out for my walk this morning at 6.30am because Ann was meeting her friends for a sea swim at 7.15am. I took my ball and we played all the way along Porthmeor Beach and then I had a play on Porthgwidden Beach while we were waiting for the rest of the swimmers.

Obviously I could have gone swimming with Ann. I like swimming, but to get to the bit where Ann was swimming I would have had to swim through waves first. ….........And I don't like waves! I'm a bit scared of them. I chose to just lie at the waters edge and watch (and obviously guard my ball). Everyone was well impressed with what a good little Collie pup I was. Ann was dreading me going wandering off and having a poo because then she would have had to get out of the water before she was ready, but I didn't. I just lay in good dog mode for the whole time. Ann stayed in the water for about 15-20 mins and she's aiming to ditch the wetsuit by 1st May??!!

After that, we Ann spent the morning cleaning the sun terrace walls and repainting them. I just lay and watched. And just look at the state of me?! It was like, every time Ann finished painting a wall, I went and plonked myself down next to it for a snooze???!!!

This afternoon the plan was to go to B&M in Penzance to buy new solar powered lights and a new washing line, and then go for my walk along the St Erth River. Mmmmmmm.................... best laid plans and all that. Got half way to Penzance and was confronted with a 'road closed' sign, so then we had to go down a teeny, weeny road to the A30 at Crowlas, but there was no way that we could turn right, to get to Penzance, because the traffic on the main road was just constant. We sat in a big queue for 10 mins and then Ann said, 'Trixie, we'll just turn left when we get to the front of the queue and do your walk first and then we'll go to B&M at Camborne/Pool.' So that is what we did. Except when we got to St Erth the road was closed so we couldn't get to our normal parking spot. (We found another one) ….............And we thought the roads in Edinburgh were bad?!

Afternoon walk done and we headed to B&M at Camborne/Pool only to find that the traffic lights at a major crossroads weren't working and it was just a free for all. …..........Very scary! So Ann decided we would come home via Camborne and Connor Downs. Another bad plan.................. There were two lots of roadworks where we had to wait for ages. And then she decided we'd take the back road into St Ives because there are two lots of roadworks on our normal route. Another bad idea. Lol! We got stuck behind two cyclists. What is it with cyclists that think they can hog the whole road???? Why can't they just pull in for a couple of mins and let more than 10 cars that are travelling less than 15mph past? It's so inconsiderate.

Home and Ann finished cleaning the patio slabs, she put her pots back into position, she brought the washing in, she sorted out the outdoor furniture, she got rid of the rubbish.................... And then she poured herself a glass of wine. Phew!!

…..............And then it got cold so we had to come in. Lol!!
