I love this autobiography by Nigel Slater.  I read it many years ago and kept it (I only keep books that I know I will read again) and I'm getting ready to read it again.

Nigel Slater is a food journalist and his book is a little different to most autobiographies in that it tells the story of his childhood through food - some of the titles of chapters are Rice Pudding, Fried Eggs, Lemon Meringue Pie and Pickled Walnuts.

However, it is a chapter called Marshmallows that is heartbreaking.  

The book is definitely worth reading or in my case, rereading.
