The Garden
Temperature +8. Sunny from the afternoon onwards, but very cold moderate southwest wind.
We went to our allotment garden just for the third time this spring. Couldn't stay for long, because also had to go to buy groceries. Mr S raked a pert of the yard, it was still quite wet. I was checking the place all over and of course searching sprouts.
We also met our dear friends again in the allotment and couldn't help stopping by them despite the hurry. Nice as always. We arranged a date on May Day Eve, even forecast promises sunny and quite warm that doesn't happen very often for the May Day in here.
In the picture a honey bee is collecting frantically pollen on our flower bed. You can see a it's hind leg a shiny a kind of pollen basket, which is used to transport the round pollen lumps to the hive. The flower is a winter aconite (Eranthis hyemalis).
A moment ago, when writing this, I saw from the window the first hot air balloon this year passing by our house... Moods are high...
